Contractor Management

Register visiting contractors, arrange access and retain their visit history.

Where to find it:Hamburger menu → Contractors

Contractors Are Not Crew

Contractors have dedicated records and a limited account experience. Keep them separate from the crew manifest, even when they stay aboard.

  • Contractor attendance and work-hour records are separate from crew Hours of Rest.
  • A live-aboard contractor is still a contractor, not temporary crew.
  • Retain the existing person when arranging a return visit rather than creating duplicate records.

Who Can Use It

Vessel users
Use the contractor management controls available to their account and yacht permissions.
Contractors
Use their dedicated limited dashboard and attendance tools after completing the invitation process. They do not receive crew access.
Do not infer crew-management privileges from the ability to arrange a contractor visit.

Returning Contractors And Attendance

Use the existing contractor record when the same person returns. Review the new contract or visit dates rather than overwriting the person's identity with a duplicate.

  • Check whether an existing contractor should be reactivated for the next visit.
  • Review sign-in and sign-out records when checking attendance and recorded work time.
  • An open attendance session should be checked before relying on calculated hours.
  • Ending a visit and deleting a person's history are different actions.
Contractor work time is not a crew rest-compliance record.
